Description
The 1965 to 1968 Vertical Headlamp Cadillacs were the featured model of the 2022 Cadillac Fall Festival & Concours d’Elegance. This poster, based on an original water-color painting by Wayne Kady, features a red 1965 Convertible, the first in a radical departure from the cars that came before, and the last in this series, a 1968 Coupe de Ville.
Wayne Kady began his career in 1961 and spent the next 38 years designing Cadillacs and Buicks. He was the Chief Designer of the Cadillac Studio that created the design of the ninth generation of Eldorados. Following a brief stint as Chief of the Buick Studio, Wayne returned to Cadillac in 1974 as Chief Designer. From 1974 to 1988 he directed the design of Devilles, Fleetwoods, Sevilles, and Eldorados.
